C Average is:
Jon Merithew - guitar, bass, vocals

C Average is a group of two who describe themselves as following: A dwarfen metalsmith who would hammer his drums into the very core of the earth if properly commanded and an elf in possession of a magic harp and a quiver of cruelly barbed arrows. Here are several tales of science fiction/fantasy created and crunchingly presented by these two natives of the mystical land of Olympia.

[edit] Eddie Vedder's backing band

In 1999 Eddie did a few solo shows, mostly benefits and few opening gigs for The Who and C Average was introduced as his backing band. It is unknown as how C Average and Eddie met but it is known that they are all huge fans of The Who. This even resulted into a tribute show on July 14, 1999 in Olympia, WA. In 2000 they opened up for Pearl Jam in Vancouver, Canada, of their warm up shows for the Binaural tour. Then in 2002 Eddie played together with C Average again on January 26 at a private party for RealNetworks CEO Rob Glasser. The very last time that they played together was on July 11, 2002 in a tribute to the then recently deceased John Entwhistle of The Who.
