News Bullets: Ticket prices, Vedder rumors, 'People Speak' film

  • Pearl Jam gets a short, but nice mention in a recent Rolling Stone article about keeping their ticket prices low. The article discusses how the struggling US economy and rising gas prices effect the concert business. Pearl Jam is mentioned alongside Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen and Dave Matthews as artists that work to keep their tickets under $100.
  • There have been some rumors that Ed may be adding some new solo dates, possibly in August. One source suggests to "keep their eyes open for My Bloody Valentine this September, rumored Eddie Vedder solo dates and the possible return of Tom Waits."  While this document suggests Ed will be playing shows in the east coast and mid west with Liam Finn.
  • For anyone who missed this recent blurb, Ed performed Here's To The State Of Mississippi as part of a show at a concert in California May 1st, and was filmed for the new movie The People Speak. If you'd like to know more about the film, check out the trailer below (no Ed in the trailer, but still worth a look).
