Crowdfunded Pearl Jam Show "Unlikely to Happen"

Although they remain (naively) optimistic, Pearl Jam fans that have been raising funds via Tilt to fund a show at Forest Hills in Queens were dealt a hard blow this week as Pearl Jam manager, Kelly Curtis, told The Village Voice that Pearl Jam is unlikely to ever play a crowd funded show.
We love the passion and enthusiasm of the fans who have spearheaded Pearl Jam Crowdfund efforts.  However, with more and more of these crowdfunded show proposals cropping up, we want to be clear before fans invest their earned money into these efforts that they are unlikely to happen.

The band's shows are booked through their management and touring agents. A lot goes into scheduling, routing, producing, and promoting safe and successful shows for our fans. We will continue to rely on our experts in the field to ensure this remains the case for the band's future tours.
Daniel Sheffer, the organizer behind the Forest Hills effort, says that falls short of a "hard no," and that they will continue working toward a show.  We wish them good luck, but is it ethical to keep fundraising for the remote possibility of a such an event?

A&M Records Sues For Control of Temple of the Dog

At the time of his death last year, Ten and Temple of the Dog producer, Rick Parashar was embattled with A&M Records over who actually owned the master tapes of Temple of the Dog, the project created by members of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden to honor their late friend, Andrew Wood.  Now his brother and fellow London Bridge Studios founder has taken up the battle.  Of course, by "battle," we mean refusing to hand over the masters to A&M despite legal threats.

Could someone be working on a remaster or re-release of the album?  Do fans want that?  Do the bands?  None of the members of Pearl Jam or Soundgarden have weighed in on the matter.

Pearl Jam March Madness: DO THE EVOLUTION Wins!

It was a long, hard road for our champion.  After annihilating Whale Song, can't Keep, Fatal, and In Hiding our champion barely beat Brain of J and lost to Faithfull by 1 vote in the final match of regular season play.  But Do the Evolution earned a spot in the final 16, where triumphed in close matches over former champions Immortality (2 votes) and Corduroy (7 votes).  The semifinals saw a rematch against Faithfull, with Do the Evolution winning handily the second time around. Last Exit was the arguable favorite going into the finals, but in a breathtakingly close matchup Do the Evolution triumphed 40-39, becoming the first Yield champion in the history of the REAL pearl jam march madness.

Congratulations Do the Evolution, our 2015 winner!
