On This Darkest Day, A Reason to Celebrate

As we prepared to "celebrate" today as the day that we have officially waited through the longest gap ever between Pearl Jam albums, exciting news has come our way.

It's still not clear whether Team McCready or Team Gossard will be victorious on the fight to set the deadline for Album #10's release, but a friend of claims to have a small collection of demos meant for inclusion in that album.

Not all include lyrics and only 3 include vocals by Ed, but there is a tracklist of sorts.

Mercury (Ed on vocals)
Believed In (Ed on vocals)
3, 2, 1 (Jeff? on vocals)
The Gift (Matt? on vocals)
Alford Pleas
Transience  (Ed on vocals)

Will these make the final cut? Unknown.  Will we ever hear these? Well, if I'm lucky, I might.  At this point, there is no confirmation from outside sources, and there exists not even a picture, but we can hope, can't we?  Are we  being completely snowed?  Likely, but this is too exciting to keep under wraps.

Keep your fingers crossed!

  1. I for one hope its not true cause leaking them could mean the band scraps them and then we have to wait even longer and possibly never hear finished versions. ..what if these eventually became the best songs they've ever written and they scrap them because of it...

  2. 'Alford Pleas' is about the West Memphis Three. it's the type of plea they entered that basically stated 'I'm guilty, but I didn't do it". thankfully, it got them free, but they are still working to get their names cleared. it'll be interesting to here this song if it ever surfaces... i like all the titles for the Ed vocal tracks.

  3. Where can I listen???????? Your killin me.
