Pearl Jam Catalog Licensed to MLB for the World Series

Our favorite Billboard writer, Jessica Letkemann, and Andrew Hampp published an article this week about Pearl Jam's licensing their music for the World Series, which sadly will be sans the Cleveland Indians AGAIN this year.

The deal includes 48 songs spanning the band's career (including all of Lightning Bolt, but none of Riot Act).

Band Manager, Kelly Curtis, had this to say:
"There was a period of time when we didn't license much music," Pearl Jam manager Kelly Curtis says. "But for the past many years, we consider licensing requests using the same criteria we do for everything else: Do we like it? Would the fans like it? Does it provide a different forum for fans to hear the music? Is it something we can get behind? The band loves baseball, so this one was a no-brainer."
