#6, THE HOWARD STERN & ZANE LOWE INTERVIEWS
In the lead up to Dark Matter's release Pearl Jam sat down with Howard Stern for a satellite interview to discuss their relationships and history, and to play a few songs from the new album. We got stories from Ten and Vitalogy and some of the band members' pre-Pearl Jam experiences. More importantly, we got some of our first performances of Scared of Fear and Running (as well as Yellow Ledbetter and Daughter).
A couple of days later, Pearl Jam gave DJ Zane Lowe and AppleTV a tour of their headquarters, a building that most fans haven't seen which houses their own studio, a warehouse of collectibles, a batting cage, basketball court, a skate ramp, and all their charitable business. It also included clips of songs from the new album, but the stories about how the band use the new building and how they recorded the album Dark Matter with Andrew Watt take spotlight. It's a must watch for any fan itching to go deeper than the music.
