Canada? Chicago? Check Your Ten Club Status!

 Repost from twofeetthick:

Another Tweet just came through on the Pearl Jam Message Pit:

“Coo Roo coo coo coo coo coo coo”

The little birdy’s channeling a bit of Bob McKenzie, eh?

He’s in such a giddy mood that he tweeted this second little ditty….

Tweet, tweet, hear the beat,

Give me something good to eat.

(like deep dish pizza)

You’ll be sweet and on your feet,

All paid up (by May 3rd) - and in your seat.

Just in case you didn’t pick up on the references, Bob and Doug McKenzie are famously Canadian fictional characters played by Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas, made famous on Second City TV back in the 80’s.

The sketch’s signature “Coo Roo coo coo coo coo coo coo” theme, according to Dave Thomas in an interview on CBC News: The Hour, is based on the flute music used in Canadian television nature vignettes, such asHinterland Who’s Who.

(and OH, did they make Kathy D. laugh - I still have the 45 of  “Take Off”. ) And surely we know that Chicago is famous for it’s yummy deep dish pizza!

There is a rumor floating around of an August 21st date at Molson Arena in Toronto…I guess it all remains to be seen come Monday or so! Stay tuned to PearlJam.com.

thanks B.Smith for the heads up!
